Our Featured Artist of the Month
My interview with the craziest,offensive,rude,disgusting band in all of Detroit.
We met up at Diablos home where the band like to practice. They were rehearsing at the time of my arrival
along with working on some new tunes. This is my exclusive interview with the Kings of disgusting..... Fall
From Disgrace.
Plankey: Tell me the history of the band?
Diablo: Started back in about 94'. Me & Bono where in a band in college. Those guys were dicks. Then we
started up again about 7 years ago. Bono & I are the original members, but Hammer has been in the band
about 3 years. Hammer was also in Killbury Unit. We kind of stole him.
Hammer: No No No. I liked these guys a lot & wanted to play with these guys so you'll just have to deal with
that & oh yeah I'm in a cover band too.
Diablo: So we stole Hammer from Killbury Unit. We had a bass player but he had a couple kids & wasn't aloud
to be in the band anymore. Everyone that's been in this band has been cool to the band after. Here we go. The
Orignial members of Fall From Disgrace are me,Bono Evil, Hammer & we picked up Joey from Myth Not Man.
Deli was in the band & went back to his original band so everything was good there. He's bailed me out of a
couple situations with gear & he's a good dude. I think their lead singer was having some health issues so
they disbanded for a little bit. So when they were down he played with us but now their back together so he
went back there so we're fine everything's cool there other than that all these guys are dicks & fuck 'em all.
Plankey: Who writes all the songs?
Hammer: First, we drink a lot of beer. Then the magic happens.
Now the tables get turned. Diablo interviews me.
Diablo: What do you do all day?
Plankey: Work.
Diablo: Why you hangin out with us all the time?
Plankey: Cause I'm an idiot.(laughing). Oh & free beers.
Diablo has taken over the interview now if you cant tell.
Diablo: What did you think of our NEW song "Go Fly A Kite With Your Cunt" which will be our first single off our
second album "Bound For Glory.... Hole."
Plankey: What about Toledo Crack Whore?
Diablo: That's on there too its called "Crack Head Stomp"
Plankey : Tell us the story behind "Crack Head Stomp"?
Evil: The story behind "Crack Head Stomp" is I went down to Toledo to see a Mobile Deathcamp show. Go to
get a beer, SHIT no money. So I go down the street to ATM. Toledo,Ohio 12 o'clock at night. So I go down there
put my card in get a $20 suddenly I feel something in my back. So being a bouncer I turn around beat the
fuck out of the guy & go back to the show & get a beer.
Bono: Did someone pull a gun on you?
Evil: I don't know. I didn't take the time to find out. I just beat the hell out of him & ran.
Plankey: So, Joey How do you feel about being in this band so far?
Joey: I knew who these guys were going into it. Musically it been awesome, cause I have the freedom to play
more of the heavier stuff & not be worried about is this gonna get played on the radio. Who gives a fuck!
Being in this band has been the breath of fresh air that MNM wasn't for a long time. What I did with them
was sweet. I still get along with them guys good & we're all still close but I've moved on to the next level & I
honestly never thought this opportunity was gonna come about.
Plankey: Have you guys ever been SO offensive that you drove people out of the bar?
Diablo: We were on a bill with a bunch of "Cock Rock" bands. I went in the bathroom to use the pisser & there
was people doing their make up. I said "Sorry must be the women's room" & the guy said to me "No we get
that all the time." So we were on with a bunch of "Cock Rock" bands & some chick complained to the
manager that we were to offensive & we shouldn't be singing songs like "Cheer Up Or You'll Be Dead Soon".
She said "I had breast cancer & these guys aren't funny so I'm Leaving." You know what.... Fuck you! Its the
old cliche' if you can't take a joke Fuck 'em.
Bono: You only live once & if you don't have humor you have no reason to live so Fuck off.
Diablo: Bono gives a little disclaimer at the start of every show. If you love your cat or don't like fucking dead
people then we may not be for you.
Bono: Our live show is all about entertainment. If you don't walk away with a smile on your face then..... We
failed.
Plankey: How do you feel about the "Wall of Beer" being more popular than you guys?
Diablo: The "Wall of Beer" represents us. We're Beer-Core. Hammer's more popular than all of us. I'll play a
show & a guy will come up to me after & say man, your drummer's great. Thanks, I guess. How'd I do? Dude
your drummer's the best....O.K.
Plankey: How was the show at The Vigilante Club show?
Bono: It was great. Before we got on the stage we minded our P's & Q's. Then when we got on the stage we
opened up a can of whoop ass & they were "wow those guys are funny!"
Diablo: It was fun. I was really cool, they were real respectful. But its like "Sons of Anarchy". Guy with the
jackets on with the "V" on the back of it.
Diablo: About Bono. Bono will make you part of the show. If you try to not be a part of the show, you are now
in his cross-hairs. If you haven't seen us before I guarantee you won't forget it. If you're there to see another
band & the Fall From Disgrace comes on you're like HOLY SHIT! The other band was OK, but that Bono guy
fucked my ear hole.
Plankey: So, whens the new album come out?
Diablo: Hopefully late this summer
If you haven't had the pleasure or the misfortune to see these guys live you have seriously missed one of the
best local live bands around. If you enjoy a good joke,like to laugh at stupid shit & enjoy good heavy ass music
you have to see Fall From Disgrace LIVE somewhere near you. They are currently working on their new album
"Bound For Glory... Hole" So hopefully when its done we'll see them back out playing all the awesome local
venues.
